Customer Service Advisor

This company are a successful, well established company based near Sevenoaks. They are market leaders and are the UK`s biggest independent supplier within their field. The majority of their sales are via their two internet web sites plus a small number of personal callers to their office. This company are continually moving forward and are looking for the right person with an enthusiastic attitude to join their friendly team.

You will be required to work alongside the existing sales and administration staff and complete duties to include processing internet sales orders, replying to email enquiries, deal with customers via email, phone and in person, update customers as to the status of their order, regular update of social media platforms and deal with occasional visitors to the office.

You will need to have office administration experience ideally having completed similar duties in your current/previous role. You will need to be competent in using common office applications such as Word and Excel etc, and ideally have a good understanding of the use of social media marketing with the capability of assisting writing articles. You will occasionally be required to offer support to warehouse staff in busy periods.

The initial salary will be between £23,000 – £25,000. The hours are 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday and the company offers free parking.

Events Operations Executive – In this role, you would be responsible for providing end to end management of conferences including the management of venues, facilities, suppliers, registration, delegates, AV & technical, transportation, exhibition & signage, stage set / design, crisis planning, health & safety, security and risk assessment. This will involve a lot of communication across multiple parties and will require an individual who is confident at both negotiating and multi tasking. You will also need to maintain conference budgets as well as sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with venues, suppliers and external vendors to achieve the highest standard of excellence and cost efficiencies. You will also need to ensure that all conferences meet risk, brand and regulatory requirements. Other duties include assisting in developing, implementing and managing processes and procedures to ensure strict adherence with hospitality guidelines and compliance policies.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need a minimum of 5 years events production / operations experience within the legal or professional services arena. You will also need confident phone manner, strong skills of persuasion and negotiation. Proven on-site conference management skills including assisting in greeting speakers, assisting in running the programme / stages and networking are also crucial to the role, as is the ability to be self-starting and to work without supervision. Our client is also ideally looking for candidates with a proven record of assisting in researching and contracting suppliers and those who have worked with event websites including word press and assisting in event marketing campaigns. You will also need to be familiar with all aspects of conference production from start to finish and have experience putting this into practice with financially successful conferences and events.
