Store Cleaner rates of pay are dependent on age, and range from £5.22 per hour for 16-17 year olds, £6.64 per hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.68 for 21-24 and £8.07 per hour for those 25 and over.
Contracted hours vary from 4 hours over 1 day per week, 8 over 2, 12 over 3 and 16 over 4.
Applicants will be reliable with a professional and focused approach to store operations, leadership and development, taking direction from and supporting the Store and Store Assistant Managers in day-to-day operations.
The appointed Store Supervisor will be required to complete the Home Bargains Management Training Programme as part of their ongoing development. This is a comprehensive 17 week programme which is completed in three parts:
- 12 weeks procedure based learning in store, delivered through our online platform with support from a Retail Coach, alongside Store and Area Management.
- 1 week training at our National Training Centre, Liverpool, developing management skills. This is delivered Monday –
- Friday and is an opportunity to visit our Head Office as well as Home Bargains flagship stores.
- 4 weeks training in store delivered by the Area Manager.
This means that you will have to work with a team of managers and other employees. You can apply for the post of an assistant manager at the store. Apart from this you can also apply as supervisor at the stores. Your job position and location will decide the type of duties you may have to perform. You will have to offer training to new recruits, prepare shift schedule, assistant other employees and perform inspections. You will have to look into daily operations of the stores and maintain employee and customer safety. You have to be able to promote sales, provide customers with best service, maintain inventory list, look into the stores budget etc. Your role will also be to interview new recruits and provide with proper training.
