Information Technology Graduate

As one of our IT graduates, you will join a team working across the business to support different projects. Collaborating with colleagues from different areas of the business, you’ll gain a wealth of technical expertise and business knowledge.

With the support and guidance of experienced colleagues, you’ll be given real responsibility
from the start – fixing live issues, building automated tests or even developing new features.

As part of our comprehensive induction you’ll learn tons about new tech, but you’ll never lose sight of the bigger picture! You’ll visit Stores, understand how our Processing Centres operate and work with colleagues who use your team’s products, every day. Once you’re up and running in your technical role, your responsibilities can grow.

On completion of the programme, you’ll be equipped with key skills and an understanding of how technology plays a vital part in our success. and in making our business unique. You’ll have opportunities to move onwards or upwards within the business and be supported in finding a role that’s right for you.

Skills You Need

  • Computer Science/IT Computing degree
    (or related Maths, Science or Engineering degree with relevant practical experience)
  • Determination to drive business improvements and enhanced customer experience through technology.
  • Curiosity to identify better ways of doing things
  • Collaborative mindset to challenge the status quo
  • Whether your forte is Python, HTML, mobile development, ERP applications, database technologies, data visualization or even Excel! What’s important is that you understand software and have a passion for using it to make a difference

Sales Associate

Associates are a vital part of every TK Maxx and HomeSense store. They work together as a team to ensure that store standards are never less than excellent, and that customers receive great service from the moment they arrive to the time they leave. In addition to helping customers, you’ll be involved in merchandising the sales floor. This means you’ll be able to unload deliveries and enjoy the excitement of being the first to see the latest stock. You’ll also be involved in fitting room, cash register and housekeeping duties.

To become one of our associates, you’ll need to be a team player, who can take the initiative and maintain high standards. You’ll also have great communication skills to ensure customers have their best experiences in your store, and the ability to pick up new things quickly. Some previous experience would be helpful, but it’s not essential as we’ll give you all the training you need to get started.

First Lane Manager

The Role:

  • Be responsible for the control of the workflow and organisation of associates to ensure that the standards of performance, attendance, quality and conduct are met
  • Plan and organise resources within the team, influencing the Shift Operations Manager appropriately, to ensure daily targets are met
  • Develop and monitor all associates within their department, including probationary reviews and monthly and annual appraisals to develop a high performing team
  • Develop and support your direct reports and coach them to up-skill their staff to build high performing teams
  • Recognise talented individuals and nurture, develop and coach them to ensure future succession
  • Conduct regular team briefing sessions to deliver company information and to receive feedback from the team to foster team spirit and build morale
  • Maintain consistency and continuous improvement in results through an analysis of work methodology and an appropriate coaching style
  • Implement ‘Best Standard Practice’ and controls to minimise shrink to accepted location targets
  • Complete and monitor all reports and data to a high standard of accuracy
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are met and maintained in line with responsibilities under the H&S plan
  • Assist with recruitment to the appropriate level of resource to meet business needs

Deputy Manager
